The 57th session of the UN Committee for Programme and Coordination concludes its work
30.06.2017The 57th session of the UN Committee for Program and Coordination (CPC) has concluded its work on June 30 at the UN Headquarters in New York.
At this session, Deputy Chief of the Office of Multilateral Diplomacy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vadim Pisarevich, as Deputy Chairman of the Committee, has successfully coordinated the work on compromising the positions on a number of outcome documents.
In total CPC approved conclusions and recommendations on the evaluation of activities of approximately twenty organisations, agencies and entities of the UN system, as well as approved changes to some of the Strategic Framework’s programmes for the period of 2018-2019, which serve as the basis of the Organisation’s budget.
CPC is a subsidiary body of the UN General Assembly and the UN Economic and Social Council, which reviews programme and budget issues of the Organisation. Belarus was elected to the UN CPC for the period of 2015-2017.
