The event was organized by the Permanent Mission of Panama to the United Nations in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in connection with the Second UN Economic and Social Council Forum on Financing for Development follow-up. The Vice-President and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Panama, Deputy UN Secretary General Amina Mohammed also attended the event.

V. Rybakov mentioned the results of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development held in July 2015 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and emphasized the importance of domestic resources mobilization for sustainable development and the importance of strengthening tax system as one of ways in which countries can mobilize resources for investment in development.
