Permanent Representative of Belarus participates in the commemorative meeting of the General Assembly

Regional groups of UN member states, permanent representatives to the United Nations, Secretariat’s leadership offered their words of condolences to Cuba and the Cuban people.
In his statement, the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Andrei Dapkiunas noted that the Leader of the Cuban Revolution and the Cuban state the legendary Comandante Fidel Castro left his bright mark in history as a true patriot who dedicated his life to the selfless service to his Motherland and his people. He became a political figure of a global scale and greatly influenced the events in the whole world.
Andrei Dapkiunas stressed that Belarus appreciates exceptional efforts and significant contribution of Fidel Castro to the development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Cuba.
