Permanent Representative meets with the Executive Director of UNICEF
18.06.2018A working meeting between Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov and Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Henrietta Fore was held at UNICEF Headquarters in New York.
H. Fore became the seventh executive director of UNICEF on January 1, 2018. From 2007 to 2009, she served as administrator of the US Agency for International Development and Director of External Aid for the United States.
The interlocutors exchanged views on current issues of protecting the rights and interests of children. The Head of the Mission of Belarus and the Executive Director of UNICEF agreed on the complexity and comprehensiveness of challenges facing the world community today in order to ensure sustainable progress in protecting children around the world.
