Delegation of Belarus takes part in the UN Third Review Conference on Small Arms and Light Weapons
18.06.2018The Third Review Conference on Small Arms and Light Weapons has started its work at the United Nations headquarters in New York and will last until June 19 this year.
During the general discussion of the Conference on June 18, 2018 the Head of the International Security and Arms Control Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Nikolay Ovsyanko presented the position of the Republic of Belarus on the main issues of the implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat And Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All its Aspects.
During the statement Nikolay Ovsyanko highlighted the practical contribution of the Republic of Belarus to the implementation of technical assistance programs aimed at improving national systems for managing small arms stockpiles and ensuring their effective functioning.
