Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov meets Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee

During his visit to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov met with Executive Director of the Executive Directorate of the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the UN Security Council, Jean-Paul Laborde.

The parties discussed the promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and the United Nations on the issue of terrorism, and also noted the positive experience in the review conduct by the Committee of the implementation by Belarus the UN Security Council resolutions relating to counter-terrorism and the response to the relevant recommendations on the results of the Committee’s review.

Considerable attention was paid to the issue of deepening cooperation between the UN and the CSTO.

They discussed the state of cooperation between the UN and the CSTO, and agreed on the need to continue the practice of joint activities and to expand the contacts between both the Counter-Terrorism Committee and the Secretariat of the CSTO and the UN and the CSTO.
