On the statement of the Permanent Representative of Belarus in support of Cuba
06.11.2019Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov made a statement during the plenary meeting of the UN General Assembly on the annual agenda item on the necessity of ending the economic, trade and financial blockade of Cuba.
Valentin Rybakov noted that Belarus considers any unilateral measures of pressure on sovereign UN member states unacceptable and regards such actions as a direct violation of the norms and principles of international law that undermine the system of multilateralism and the basis for civilized relations between countries.
Permanent Representative of Belarus stressed that Belarus has traditionally supported and will continue to support the regular annual resolution of the UN General Assembly on a complete, unconditional and irreversible end to the blockade against Cuba.
