15.08.2017

Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Andrei Dapkiunas took part in a special farewell ceremony organised in New York by the Executive Board of the International Association of Permanent Representatives to the United Nations (IAPR) on the occasion of the completion by the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission of his tour of duty in New York.

International Association of Permanent Representatives to the United Nations was founded in 1988 at the initiative of a number of heads of mission of UN Member States as an informal forum and framework of regular communication and consultation between former and active Permanent Representatives to the United Nations. Activity of IAPR is managed by the Executive Board of which Permanent Representative of Belarus A. Dapkiunas is a member.

At the event members of the Executive Board noted with gratitude an important contribution of the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the UN to raising the public awareness of the IAPR activity through the creation of a temporary IAPR website and the drawing up of a draft resolution on IAPR to be adopted at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
