Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Valentin Rybakov met with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres

On August 15, 2022, during the meeting at the UN Headquarters Permanent Representative of Belarus Valentin Rybakov informed UN Secretary-General António Guterres of the unacceptability of the politically biased conclusions of the Report of the fact-finding investigation team of the International Civil Aviation Organization on the event involving a Ryanair aircraft in Belarus airspace on 23 May 2021.

The Permanent Representative handed over a Memorandum on Belarus' national position on this incident that had been circulated as an official document of the United Nations General Assembly under the symbol A/76/909.

The interlocutors also discussed the issues of international food security in the context of sanctions pressure.
