V. Rybakov participates in a counter-terrorism event

On the margins of the UN General Assembly general debate, Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN, V. Rybakov took part in a special high-level event dedicated to the adoption of the Code of Conduct Towards a World Free of Terrorism.

For reference: about 70 states, including Belarus, signed a document initiated by Kazakhstan that aims at getting acts together for strengthening global efforts to prevent and counter the evil of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

This main goal of the document is supposed to be achieved by implementing existing international obligations, enhancing global and regional cooperation in this area, and eliminating conditions for the emergence of terrorism.

By becoming the initial signatory of the Code, Belarus reaffirmed its status of a state that attaches great importance to strengthening of international security, as well as advocating for more coordinated collective international efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
